I heard you down corner of Cambridge
Caterwauling ‘bout your latest tristesse
Howlin’ ‘bout the girl of your dreams and how
She left your sorry heart in distress
But to engage with what is real
Instead of what you feel
Might make a man out of you, boy
I don’t need to hear about the girls who brought you down
I’d think twice before you smear her name all over town
Why-y won’t you sing about the boys who broke your heart?
In line like wartime soldiers, you won’t fall apart
Still hearin’ ya cry for your mama
Or maybe you might cry for your dad
Maybe you should cry for your
Love of the bottle instead
But you say it’s not your fault
And to take you with some salt
Guess I’ll laugh right in your face!
I don’t need to hear about the girls who brought you down
I’d think twice before you smear her name all over town
Why-y won’t you sing about the boys who broke your heart?
In line like wartime soldiers, you won’t fall apart

Dark synthpop/darkwave that succeeds mightily in crafting compelling moods and movements with brilliant songwriting. At times there’s almost an alt-rock vibe, but overall the sound makes me think of some of the darker and more somber Duran Duran songs.
That said, I could have done without the admittedly and thankfully infrequent usage of autotune on the vocals. Lute FP
